About The DNS Tools

How it works

When you run a check, your browser sends the query directly to a public DNS-over-HTTPS resolver and renders the answer. There is no server of ours in between, so we never see what you looked up — but the resolver does, in the same way it would for any other DNS query.

Because there is no server round-trip, most operations are fast and work even on slower connections.

Free and no sign-up

Every core tool is free to use and does not require an account. There is no paywall for basic operations.

Private by design

A lookup only means anything if it reaches a resolver, so these queries do leave your device — that is the tool working, not a compromise. What does not happen is us collecting them: the request goes from your browser to the resolver and the answer comes back the same way.

Nothing else is sent anywhere. The tools do not upload files, and the site has no account system to attach a query to.
